How DTF Works

What is DTF?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) is a full-colour print applied to a special film and then pressed onto your item with heat. There's no weeding and no colour limits — photographic detail, gradients and fine text all press cleanly, and the finish stays soft and stretchy.

Applying your transfer

  1. Pre-press your garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and creases.
  2. Position the transfer, print side down.
  3. Press at 150–160°C with medium-firm pressure for 10–15 seconds.
  4. Peel warm or cold as indicated on your order.
  5. Finish with a 3–5 second re-press (use baking paper or a cover sheet) to lock it in.

Tips for a lasting finish

  • Use an accurate, evenly heated press — household irons are inconsistent.
  • Firm, even pressure matters as much as temperature.
  • Let the garment cool fully before stretching or folding.
